lWhen I picked up Scully (8 weeks old) from the breeder, she was trembling, dirty and covered with fleas. Her eyes were goopy and the vet had to clean her ears. Here in the kitchen you can see how well she was socialized to humans during her first 8 weeks. Not! It took about two weeks for her to completely bond to me. (silent)

I shot this video a few days later in the backyard. She was afraid of being out in the middle of the lawn like this and wanted to run and find a hole or some type of cover to hide in. My parents visited that week and came at night. She got out into the backyard and we couldn't find her. I panicked because the yard was not fenced. For what seemed like an hour, we searched and called out for her. I then took my flashlight and sweeping the corn, saw shiny eyes. She was hiding in the corn (see corm below)! (silent)

This video was shot sideways in order to grab a still frame for email. In a video editing program I rotated the picture back to normal and zoomed in. (I know it's fuzzy, but it's basically the only video I have of her walking at 8 weeks old). It's fun to watch her in this clip looking around and then when I put her down, she follows me like velcro. (silent)

We were swimming in Four Mile Creek, Colorado, when she decided to jump across the river. Almost made it!
What is it about my Levis? Everyday, just before I get dressed, Scully comes upstairs so she can bite my pants as I put them on. I have no idea why she does this. At night, when I get comfortable in sweats, she takes possession of my blue jeans.

Scully loves water! Watch her find me and come splashing on over to see me.
This movie has many clips of Scully in her early years while we lived and hiked in Colorado.
